This is a web site that connects North American PMs available for volunteer work as a project manager or project management resource with non-profit groups requiring their services. The service is free for both parties and is designed to allow project managers to give back to the community as they gain volunteer PDUs and/or build their resume through volunteerism. Non-profit agencies gain as a result.
Have a look at the most recently listed volunteer opportunities.
Once you register as a PM Resource you will be able to:
1. Create and Edit Your Profile
Your profile will outline to prospective non-profit organizations your availability in terms of time and geography, as well as details about your project management experience and education. Your contact information remains private until you decide to apply for an opportunity.
2. Browse Opportunities
Search Client organizations' volunteer opportunities listed on the site. The details of the assignment are listed, but the contact information of the Client organization remains confidential until they decide to respond to your application.
3. Apply for Opportunities
When you apply for an opportunity, your profile details and contact information will be sent to the Client organization for review. The Client organization then has the option to contact you to follow up. If they do so, their contact information will be sent to you, and both parties can then discuss the project in detail and determine if they would like to proceed with the assignment. Please note: there is no obligation on the part of the client organization to respond to or accept your application.
